SILENCING THE STRONGMAN IN YOUR STORM

PRAYER CHARGE.

2Chro.20:15…for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Father, arise today, fight all my battles, spiritual, physical, visible and invisible…

Ps.44:3-4. Father, by your favour command victories for me, my family and my nation over every storm, plague, pestilence or pandemic in the name of Jesus.

TEXT.

Mark 4:35-41 NKJV[35] On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” [36] Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. [37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. [38] But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” [39] Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. [40] But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” [41] And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

PART ONE. STOP THAT STORM BEFORE IT STOPS YOU.

1. THE SUDDENNESS OF STORMS. Storms can be sudden but the storm stopper, JESUS is never caught off guard.

2. SUBJECTS OF STORMS. Storms are no respecter of persons or nations but they must bow to the Creator of persons and nations.

SILENCING THE STRONGMAN IN YOUR STORM.

3. THE SEVERITY OF STORMS.

Mark 4:37 AMPC[37] And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.

Storms come in degrees. Some can be more severe than others.
We see scientists grading them in categories.
When you look at the one in this story, it was probably category 5. Their ship was getting filled with water. It was furious, violent and of hurricane proportion.

IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT THEY ALSO PUT SOME SICKNESSES IN CATEGORIES ACCORDING TO HOW SEVERE..STAGES 1-4.
BUT THERE IS SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THROUGH AND GONE PASS ALL THE CATEGORIES. HE DEFEATED THEM ALL AND HE CAN DEFEAT YOURS. JESUS GOT TO CATEGORY SEVEN AND SAID IT IS FINISHED.

Storms will severely threaten our peace, causing fear, distress, doubts, even death. But as children of God, we must not give in to our fears.

Romans 8:15 NKJV[15] For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV[7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Isa.43:1-2. Fear not….when you pass through the storms….I will be with you….

Covid 19 is severe. Global in effect, violent in spread, deadly in effect, indiscriminate in its targets.

Hosea 13:14 NKJV[14] “I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.”

IF Covid19 says it’s a plague, God says He too will be a plague against it.

The Egyptians brought out rods, God says I am a rod and God the god swallowed up the rod of the Egyptian magicians.

But no matter how big a mountain can be, it must bow to the One who sits upon it. Rev.6:15-16.

Zechariah 4:7 NKJV[7] ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!

What you must fear is not the storm that arises in the course of your journey, the one to fear is the INITIATOR OF THE JOURNEY, CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP AND THE COMMANDER OF THE STORM.

Mark 4:35 NKJV[35] On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”

Jesus that said, let us cross over to the other side knew how to get them there safely. Storm or no storm.

He is the Alpha and the Omega. He knew the end of that journey from the beginning.

ISA.48:17…..I am the Lord your God….who leads you by the way you should go”

YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD OF CROSS OVER ….TO SHINE THE LIGHT OF GOD. WHEN YOU MAKE THAT YOUR DESTINY ASSIGNMENT, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

SEVERE STORM, SIMPLE SOLUTION.

YOUR STORM MAY BE SEVERE, BUT THE SOLUTION WILL BE SIMPLE.

HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW NOISY THE ENGINE OF A JET FIGHTER IS, BUT YOU. AN QUN H THE NOISE BY JUST SWITCHING A BUTTON.

Covid19 may be severe but the solution will be simple.

Goliath was a severe storm but he solution was one simple stone.a stone,

Haman was a sever storm but he had prepared his own gallows as simple solution. His death cost the Jews nothing.

Naaman leprosy was a severe storm, but ordinary dirty river of Jordan,

King Hezekiah’ sickness was a terminal severe storm but simple ointment from figs spread over the boil.

Blind man, dust from the ground. Blind man, wash in Siloam.

Lazarus death was a severe storm but three words simple solution..LAZARUS COME FORTH

Storm, a rebuke from the Lord, just three word: ‘PEACE BE STILL”

4. STRONGMAN IN YOUR STORM.

Behind every storm is a strongman.

Mark 3:27 NKJV[27] No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.

JOB VERSUS SATAN THE STRONGMAN.

Job 5:6 NKJV[6] For affliction does not come from the dust, Nor does trouble spring from the ground;

Satan will do everything to stop you from reaching destiny destination. 1Peter 5:8.

Why do they give names to storms and hurricanes?
Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Michael etc…

Even scientists recognised that there is an entity behind them.

Somebody conducted a naming ceremony and gave Coronavirus a name. The virus with a crown.

Paul was on a journey to Rome to fulfil his purpose. A storm came that had a name.

Acts 27:14 NKJV[14] But not long after, a tempestuous head wind arose, called Euroclydon.

There is a strongman behind your storm. It has legs, hands, eyes and ears no matter how invisible.

JESUS knew this so he always address the invisible strongman behind problems.

Luke 13:10-12. Spirit of infirmity was the strongman, JESUS commanded the Spirit to loose the woman.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 NKJV[18] Therefore we wanted to come to you-even I, Paul, time and again-but Satan hindered us.

Satanic hindrances come in form of storms. Satan is the strongman dragon.

Revelation 12:15 NKJV[15] So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.

The woman did not see a physical serpent but the strongman behind her many challenges is referred to as the serpent.

Verse 16. But the Stronger than the strongman commanded the earth to help the woman by swallowing the flood.

Mark 4:39. There was a strongman behind the storm but the One stronger than the strongman was in the boat. He commanded the strongman and there was instant obedience.

If u are a child of a God. You carry a spirit that is superior to the spirit behind your storms.

1 John 4:4 NKJV[4] You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

THE GIANT GOLIATH WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN DAVID.

BAAL WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN ELIJAH.

HAMAN WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN MORDECCAI

JEZEBEL WAS A STRONGMAN BUT SHE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN JEHU.

THE PRINCE OF PERSIA WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN DANIEL.

HEROD WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN PETER.

EUROCLYDON WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN PAUL.

DEATH WAS A STRONGMAN BUT HE BOWED TO THE STRONGER ONE IN LAZARUS, JESUS, THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE.

COVID 19 IS A STRONGMAN BUT IT MUST BOW TO THE NAME ABOVE ALL OTHER NAME, MY JESUS.

21 days in coma. Twice given up for the dead. Wife called to say final buy bye. Twice police were called in to accompany body to the morgue and add to Statistics.
But prayers were being offered unto God on his behalf by all of us, the church.

The day they wanted to pack his body away, they noticed a movement. He came forth from the land of the dead. Six more days in the hospital, discharged a couple of days ago.

ALTAR CALL.

Father, I surrender my life to Jesus. Forgive my sins. Come into my heart. Save my soul and begin to use me for your glory in the name of Jesus.

Father you are the Alpha and the Omega. See me through safely in all my journeys of this life in the name of Jesus.

Father, you are the God of all flesh, nothing is too difficult for you, please give us a simple solution to every complex problem including Coronavirus in the name of Jesus.

Mark 3:27 Father, I come against the strongman behind my storms, the strongman behind covid19. I bind you all and plunder your habitations in the name of Jesus.

Father every mountain, obstacle or mountain saying NO to my getting to the other side, become level ground now in the name of Jesus.
