STORMS AND THE OTHER SIDE.

Jer.29:11. Father, every weapon of the enemy to hijack your good plans and purpose for my life shall not prosper in the name of Jesus.

LET NO STORM STEAL YOUR OTHER SIDE


Mark 4:35 NKJV
[35] On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”

INTRODUCTION.

One would think that since evening had come, JESUS should say let us go and sleep. But he said, let us cross over to the other side.

Evening could signify that time of the day when you say the night is approaching and as such activities should cease, shops close, work ends. It is getting late.

But for JESUS here, the evening is still a time to move on to the next level.

No wonder God says

Job 22:28-29 KJV
[28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. [29] When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up;

Implications…

1. It is not too late to start any journey in life or embark on any project of significance in life.  

In this country, I have seen transformation of many roads taken place just overnight. As roadworks were conducted late evening till the early hours of the following day. You wake up to see significant and major FACELIFT of the road you still drove on less than 24 hours ago.

Today, many flights operate from evening and through the night. A cross over from one side of the Atlantic to the other side takes place in the course of such flights.

Zechariah 14:7 KJV
[7]But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

The light of God never goes out. It is on 24/7 either as pillar of cloud by day or pillar of fire by night. To give illumination, direction and guidance.

Isaiah 60:19 KJV
[19] but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

God is about to give your destiny a facelift. It is not too late.

Naomi thought she was returning to Bethlehem Judea to go and die in her sorrow, but God was preparing a facelift for her.

Zechariah 1:17 NKJV
[17] “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”‘”

FATHER, LET YOUR COUNTENANCE SHINE ON ME AND GIVE MY DESTINY A FACELIFT.

2. The Evening of life is considered to be the old age of man. The end of life is approaching. Yet, JESUS said we are crossing over to the other side. This means You are never too old to accomplish great things in life.

Moses was 80 years old when the Lord called him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the other side, the promised land. He had just 40 years left to carry out the task. God didn’t say he was too old to embark on the journey.

Josh.14:11-12 At 85, Caleb said he was still ready to go up and possess the land of Hebron fighting battles along the way.

WHAT IS THE OTHER SIDE?

Everything in life has the other side. It is said that there is the other side to a coin. THE OTHER SIDE IS YOUR NEXT LEVEL IN LIFE.

When God says Let’s cross over to the other side, you can be sure that where he is leading you is a BETTER SIDE.

1. The other side of sickness is health. Exo.15:26.
2. The other side of problem is promotion. Dan.3.
3. The other side of failure is success. Luke 5.
4. The other side of lockdown is leap up. Acts 3.
5. The other side of begging and borrowing  is to lend unto nations. Deut.15:6.
6. The other side of battle is victory and blessing. 2Chro.20.
7. The other side of death is life. John 11.
8. The other side of hell is heaven. Luke 16:22-26.

THE ADVERSARY OF YOUR OTHER SIDE.

Mark 4:37 NKJV
[37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.

While it is God’s plan to take us to the other side, the better side, the next level, Satan will wage a war against us in the journey. For every next level, there is a next devil.

Oftentimes, God allows the battles that confront us. He does so to train us, toughen us and teach us to trust him, obey Him and depend on him.

THE FACES OF OUR ADVERSARIES

The adversaries of our other side come in different shapes and sizes.

1. They may come as a
great wind storm targeting the ship of destinies causing us to suffer losses, injuries and possible shipwreck. The disciples in Mark 4:37. PAUL. in.  

Acts 27:14 NKJV
[14] But not long after, a tempestuous head wind arose, called Euroclydon.

2. They may come as household adversaries like Joseph’s brothers. Gen.37.

3. They may come as famine and national recession. Gen.26. 2Kings 6.

4. They can show up as marital challenges of delayed marriage, delayed child bearing, separation, abuse and divorce. Hannah 1Sam.1, Abigail 1Sam.25.

5. The adversary can attack our health and physical well being with a view to getting us grounded and incapacitated. Luke 4:39.

6. It can be some injustice, discrimination, unfair policy or practices national or institutional. Dan.3. Ezra.4:6-24.

7. The adversary will seek to take our very lives except that God will not permit him to cross that boundary.

Job 2:6 NKJV
[6] And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”


7 Ds TO OVERCOME THE ADVERSARIES OF YOUR OTHER SIDE OR NEXT LEVEL.

1. DECIDE to follow Jesus and obey His invitation to the boat destined for the other side. God is on the side of those who aim for higher grounds. “Let us cross over to the other side”. They had a choice. Excuses they could give. Matt. 4:19. Follow me…fishers of men..
Acts 23:11. Be of good cheer PAUL, you will get to Rome.

2. DETERMINE in your mind that you will see the other side. Have faith in the one who asked you to step into the boat.  PAUL said I MUST also See Rome. Acts 19:21.

3. DESIRE the beauty and glory of the other side and focus on the picture of a glorious future. Heb.11:13.

4. DANGER of storms is inevitable when you aim for the other side in life and so prepare for it without fear. The pathway to greatness involves taking risks and no risks no riches in life.

5. DISCOURAGEMENT will come oftentimes but discourage your discouragement. Num.21:4.

The storm can only take away your coat but not your dream of making it to the other side.  

Before PAUL embarked on the journey that was certain to be hazardous, JESUS had told him to be of good cheer. Acts 23:11.

1Sam.30:6. DAVID encourages himself in the Lord.

6.  DELIVERANCE is sure when you learn to call upon the deliverer in the course of your journey through life in praise and prayer. Mark 4:38; Acts 16:25; 2Chro. 20.

7. DESTINY is fulfilled on the other side and the enemy is disgraced.

We see Jesus’s power over nature. The wind and the sea obey him.


TESTIMONIES ON THE OTHER SIDE.

Mark 5.

We see Jesus’s power over demons. Mark 5:1-20;

We see Jesus’s power over death on the other side. Mark 5:21-24.

We see Jesus’s power over long term illness and diseases. Mark 5:25-34.

Whatever they saw on the first side was nothing compared to the glory of this other side.

When the battle for the other side in your journey of life seems fierce, it is because greater glory awaits you there. Don’t quit, don’t give up. DONT LET THE STORM STEAL YOUR OTHER SIDE. You will surely get there.

Isaiah 61:7 NKJV
[7] Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

Haggai 2:9 NKJV
[9] ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”

TESTIMONIES

Evangelist W.D. Dunn holding crusade in Motherwell near Glasgow. Needed to attend a funeral in Carlisle 90 miles away and return same day.
On returning, he missed the only train that will stop in Motherwell. The next goes straight to Glasgow. He will be late for his meeting.
He asked Station Mastier if train will stop in Motherwell for him. The officer said No except if he was an MP.
Evang Dunn prayed to God and said he was higher than an MP, he was an Ambassador. Officer said train will stop in that case.
He came back to clarify whose Ambassador he was. The officer said not to worry, train will stop for him.
He made it to his glorious crusade on time.

Whatever and whoever needs to stop, stand or wait for you to get safely to the other side will do so for you from now on.

JESUS stood still for BB.
Prophet Samuel stood for David.

I have decided to follow Jesus..
No turning back….

Father I am Christ’s Ambassador, whatever and whoever needs to stop, stand, sit, move or wait for me to fulfil my destiny, command them to do so in the name of Jesus.

Every storm assigned to rob me of the glory of the other side, you are a liar, stop now. Be still now in the name of Jesus.

Holy Ghost, arise, arrest the arrester of my next level in the name of Jesus.

Father, command all agents of darkness assigned to truncate my journey to the other side to scatter by fire in the name of Jesus.

Father, as the Lord lives and as my soul lives, I shall get to my other side of destiny fulfilment….Serving God, living healthy, making progress, being blessed to be a blessing, rising and shinning, walking the path of eternal life.
