MANTLE MEN'S FELLOWSHIP
Men ought to pray and not to faint.
In 2010, the Victory House Men's fellowship was rebranded as the Mantle Men?s Fellowship. It is open to all male members of the church from age 16 & above. The fellowship also had its first of the Mantle Series of conference that was themed: MANTLE OF GREATNESS. This maiden conference was anchored by Dr Francis Bola Akin-John and men were challenged to embrace leadership and greatness not just in our homes and the Church but also in all works of life.
The high point of the conference was the Mantle Men's Breakfast meeting in which we were privileged to have Pastor Agu Irukwu with us. He shared from his heart on the year's theme and how to achieve greatness. In 2010, we also had an evening of worship not to entertain, but to edify ourselves and glorify God. The event was tagged Men leading the family in worship and it led to the creation of the Victory House Mantle Men Mass Choir. The Fellowship continued its benevolence activities but focussed on the Widows and a few youths that distinguished themselves as examples and role models. We also continued to give gift vouchers to babies being dedicated in the Church.
We continued the quarterly Morning Prayer meetings (Men's Prayer-fast) and through it we had testimonies of God's help. We have also been having fun together, later in the year we had a Mantle Men's fun day-out in which men of all ages met together for paintballing and subsequently had dinner together.
All these continued in 2011 and the theme for the year was MANTLE OF LEADERSHIP. The focus of our benevolence was the Youth Church, as the Mantle Men's fellowship donated computers to the IUC. We also continued the tradition of the Men's quarterly prayer meetings and had a lovely love feast at the end of the year.
